DescriptionGlass has always held a fascination for me. The rich colours, patterns and textures within the glass help inspire my designs. Born and raised in Toronto, I have had the good fortune of living both in South Africa and Australia, and spending most of my summer life at my familys cottage on Georgian Bay. My work, in particular, reflects the ever-changing water, the storms, the rocks, the spectacular sunsets and the remarkable nature that has been part of my life. Ingrid was born and raised in Toronto and is of Estonian descent. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. In her former career, she worked as a forensic laboratory technologist in the Toxicology Section at The Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto. She has been a professional glass artist since 1995 and has taken numerous workshops in stained glass, and glass kiln working. She has also taken jewellery courses at George Brown College in Toronto and in Brisbane, Australia. Ingrid uses her skill and passion for glass to teach stained glass workshops for beginners. |
