Description

Born in Czechoslovakia (Slovakia), Judith has an Honours BA in Slavic Language and Literatures from the University of Toronto Far Eastern Studies, and studied Sculpture at the Ontario College of Art and Design. She also has a teaching certificate in Japanese Calligraphy. Self-taught in ceramics, she has been working in clay since 1984. An award-winning artist, Judith has exhibited extensively group exhibitions in Canada, USA, New Zealand, Korea and China from 1984 to present, had a solo exhibition in 2008 at David Kay Gallery in Toronto, and participated in the 2009 Invitational Chinese International Contemporary Art Exhibition in Jingdezhen, China. She is a member of Toronto Potters; the Ontario Society of Artists; Gardiner Museum; Burlington Art Centre; and The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery.
