Welcome to our inspiring School Programs
Our School Programs offer an innovative art enrichment experience to students from Kindergarten to Grade 8. Each visit consists of both a tour of the current gallery exhibitions and a hands-on workshop.
Download the School Programs brochure here.
The Program Aims:
- To enhance awareness through observation.
- To develop an understanding of art from an artist's and audience's point of view.
- To provide an activity that fosters creativity within a studio environment under the instruction of a professional artist.
- To work in conjunction with the Visual Arts Curriculum
Tours are led by professionally trained volunteer docents who generate discussion through questions and simple exercises. Hands-on Workshops are conducted by professional artists in well-equipped spacious studios.
In choosing your School Program we suggest that you arrange to have a workshop which compliments the current exhibitions at the Centre. Teachers who choose a clay workshop will be asked to suggest a theme to assist the BAC instructor in preparing the hands-on lesson plan.
